Privacy Policy

What you give us through this site, what we do with it, and how you get it back or have it deleted.

Who we are

The data controller is Somatos Techni, 21 Pavlou Mela St, Thessaloniki 546 22, Greece.

Full company details (registered name, VAT number, company registry number) are provided on request, at the contact details below.

What we collect and why

Contact form. Your name, email, phone (optional), your message and which class you are interested in. We use them only to reply to you.

Newsletter. Your email address, so we can send you news about our classes and wellness trips — along with the date you signed up, the page you signed up from and its language.

Technical data. With every form submission we briefly keep your IP address in hashed form, so we can block automated spam. It is never stored in readable form and is deleted within an hour.

With your consent, Google Analytics and marketing tools also collect usage data as described below. We never sell or rent your details.

Our legal basis

• Contact form: your request that we get in touch (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
• Newsletter: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), given in two steps: you submit the form, then you click the confirmation link we email you. Until you click it we send you nothing, and the pending signup lapses after seven days.

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, without having to explain anything — see below.

Who else sees it

Two services make these things work:

• Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC) — where the notification arrives when you message us through the contact form, so we see it straight away.
• Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited) — the newsletter list is kept in a Google Sheets spreadsheet in our account.

The site is also hosted by a hosting provider, which technically processes the data on our behalf. Depending on your consent choices, Google and Meta also receive usage data as described under Cookies.

How long we keep it

• Contact messages: up to 2 years after we last spoke.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again by mistake.
• Anti-spam technical data: one hour.

Cookies

Consent and accessibility preferences are stored locally in your browser. If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to measure visits. Optional categories stay inactive until you choose to allow them.

We ask you the first time you visit. Google Analytics and the Meta pixel do not load before you allow their respective categories. You can accept all, reject all, or choose Analytics and Marketing separately. You can change your mind at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Marketing (Meta pixel): if you accept, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel loads. It sets Meta's own cookies and lets them measure whether one of our ads led to a visit or to a form submission. Meta processes that data under its own terms; see Meta's privacy policy. If you decline, the pixel does not load at all.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4): with your consent we measure visits, page usage, devices and approximate geographic location. We do not send contact form fields such as names, email addresses, phone numbers or messages to Analytics. If you also allow Marketing, Google signals for aggregate demographics, interests and advertising features are permitted where enabled in the service and data is available. These reports do not provide a named list of visitors. Google processes data under its privacy policy. You can withdraw consent through Cookie settings: Analytics measurement stops and Analytics cookies accessible to the site are deleted. Withdrawal does not automatically delete data already sent.

Google map: the home page embeds a map, but it does not load on its own: in its place you get a “Load map” button, and the map does not contact Google until you press it or allow Marketing.

If you do, the map loads from Google's servers and Google may set its own cookies, under its own terms. See Google's privacy policy.

So that you are not asked again on every visit, your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, key “somMapConsent”). It is sent nowhere and disappears as soon as you clear your browser data.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to the processing.

Unsubscribing: every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom — one click and you are out, with no explanation needed. If you cannot find it, email us at somatostexni@gmail.com with "Unsubscribe" as the subject and we will do it for you.

For anything else, write to the same address and we reply within one month.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
