Pregnancy Fitness in Thessaloniki
Every class starts with a simple question: how do you feel today? Pregnancy changes the body week by week, and the programme adapts accordingly — some days with more energy, others more gently. This is pregnancy fitness (pre-natal) at Somatos Techni, in the centre of Thessaloniki: it supports your body through every trimester, aiming to keep you strong, flexible and comfortable, while building the foundation for a smoother birth and an easier recovery.
How we work safely
Every programme starts with medical clearance and a first conversation about how your pregnancy is going. The exercises are then adapted to your trimester and condition, in small groups or one-to-one, so the instructor can watch every movement closely. We combine Pilates, controlled breathing and gentle strengthening — nothing that strains you or the baby, with adjustments in each session depending on how you feel that day.
What you'll gain along the way
- Core & pelvic-floor strength — support for the growing weight, better control during birth.
- Relief from pain — less back and neck pain through good posture.
- Breath control — techniques that help with relaxation and birth.
- Circulation & energy — less swelling and a sense of wellbeing.

Frequently asked questions
Is exercise safe during pregnancy?
Yes, when done with medical clearance and a personalised programme under guidance. The exercises are adapted to each trimester.
When can I start?
Usually after your doctor's approval. Many women start in the second trimester, but it depends on the individual case.
What changes in each trimester?
As pregnancy progresses, the body's needs and capabilities change. That is why the Prenatal programme adapts to each trimester, focusing on safe exercise, strengthening, mobility, correct pelvic-floor function and breathing and, as birth approaches, on preparing the body for the delivery and the recovery that follows.
Is Pilates good during pregnancy?
Yes — it strengthens the core and pelvic floor gently and helps with posture and breathing. The exercises are modified for each stage of pregnancy.
Do I need previous experience?
No. The programme starts from your level, even if you've never exercised before.
